It is mandatory that before the surgery is planned, every patient must be evaluated by a team of Surgical Oncologists of desired unit, Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Oncopathologist, Radiologists Imaging experts and other relevant specialists in the Tumour Board. This helps in ensuring that no unnecessary surgical procedures are carried out and each patient gets a tailored made treatment plan. Patients are given the option of choosing minimum invasive laparoscopic surgery or open surgery.
