HEAD AND NECK ONCOLOGY

Head and Neck Oncology Division at DHRC comprises a specialized team of professionals who are dedicated to preventing, diagnosing, treating, and managing cancers of the head and neck. These include cancers of the mouth, throat, tongue, thyroid, and sinuses, excluding those of the brain, eye, and scalp.

The head and neck cancer team brings together experts in otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat medicine), plastic and reconstructive surgery, medical oncology, maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, radiation oncology, radiology, and nursing. This specialized approach to treating head and neck cancers provides patients with the exact type of services they need to battle the disease and its physical, emotional, and social side effects.

Surgical Procedures includes

Routinely performed procedures are Total Laryngectomies with Voice Rehabilitation, Composite resections, Maxillectomy, Mandible Arch and Floor of Mouth resections, Free Flap Reconstructions, Skull Base & Craniofacial Surgery, Carotid Body Tumour Surgeries, Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour Ressection, Parapharyngeal Tumour Resection and CO2 Laser surgeries for organ and function preservation. High success rate with minimal complications has been the tradition of the department.
