An Event “SAMARPAN : ANUBHAV SE ANUBHUTI KI AUR” organized by Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital on 4th June 2016, where the cancer survivors gathered and shared their Stories & Experiences.
30th May 2016, New Delhi: Aiming to inculcate awareness among the masses regarding the Head & Neck Cancer, Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital is going to celebrate Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Week from 30th May to 4th June, 2016. The theme of the week is “SAMARPAN – Anubhav se Anubhuti Ki Aur”.
The ‘Cancer Awareness Week’ organised by Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital consists of several programmes such as Free Cancer Screening Camps, where the hospital has screened 150 patients with the symptoms of Head and Neck Cancers.
A crash course for the dental doctors has also been organised by the hospital, where 50 + doctors received oral cancer screening training, so that they can help their patients to learn ways to reduce their risk of getting oral cancer and can detect oral cancer during dental check-ups to avoid late diagnosis.
On 4th June 2016, an awareness talk on “Know your Lifestyle, Know Your Life” was delivered by Dr. Anshuman Kumar, Director – Surgical oncology, Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital followed by a cultural programme “Sangeet se Swasthyay Ki Aur” which was purely organized by the Cancer Survivors, The warriors who defeated the monster of cancer and enjoying their normal life .
The week was celebrated intending to aware and encourage people to reduce or completely stop the tobacco consumption in any form all across the globe. The day celebration aims to draw public attention globally to spread the message of harmful effects of tobacco use as well as its complications to others.
