Department of Surgical Oncology caters to the management of solid tumours. The department has OPD chambers and procedure room in block B on the ground floor, seven operation theatre fitted with laminar flows and hepafilters, endoscopic suit, preoperative, postoperative and ICU beds are on the 1st floor of block A & B, and IPD beds on second and fourth floor of block A, B and C. CSSD is in the basement connected to OT Manifold room is on the ground floor just outside the CSSD. 

The department is equipped with state-of-the art equipments and instruments to carry out all diagnostic procedures and full range of surgeries and provide excellent pre-operative, operative and post-operative care.

The department is managed by team of Surgical Oncologists, Gynaecologists Urologists, Gastroenterologists, Plastic Surgeons, Maxillofacial Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Orthopaedic Surgeons and Laparoscopic Surgeons and coordinated by a Co-ordinator who ensures total quality management and complete patient satisfaction with the help of other surgical oncologists of the department.

Out patient services of the department are currently conducted daily between 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs. Depending on the work load and patient convenience, OPD timing can be modified.

The department is implementing NABH standard and ISO system, and is working towards CQI.
